You can book the multifunctional area FALADA & Foyer and our conference room FREIRAUM for your function.
The café-restaurant FALADA merges seamlessly with the open Foyer area, with a total of 212 m² floor area available for flexible use. The height of the sloping ceiling varies from 2.50 m to 5.20 m, and a daylight video projector and screen are integrated in the ceiling. The mul
tifunctional area FALADA and/or Foyer can be booked for your exclusive use outside regular opening times.

Access to FALADA & Foyer and FREIRAUM is barrier-free. Large plate-glass windows, which can be blacked out if required, ensure ample daylight.
The FREIRAUM area offers a friendly, light and airy atmosphere for your conference, seminar, workshop or presentation, and commands an excellent panoramic view over the Südstadt district of Kassel. This versatile space and unique conference room is also ideal for team meetings or management workshops.
The room is equipped with modern conference and event technology. Obviously, we will also provide creature comforts—whether you would like food and drink to be served in the meeting room or prefer to enjoy your break in the café-restaurant FALADA.

Exclusive bookings are possible outside regular GRIMMWELT opening hours.

Turn your event into an experience!
Book a guided tour of the exhibition for your conference participants or event guests.
You can choose between the general overview tour “GRIMMWELT from A to Z” and guided tours that focus specifically on one of the main aspects of the exhibition—language, fairy tales or the Grimms’ biography.
“Straight from the horse’s mouth”—our circular tour featuring humorous narratives about the lives of the famous brothers”—is also extremely popular.
Exclusive guided tours—outside regular exhibition opening hours—are also possible.
The “Grimm Brothers Fairy-Tale Hour” is very special form of entertainment for your event.
The GRIMMWELT is an absolutely unique, fairy-tale setting for you to tie the knot.
The wedding chamber is our FREIRAUM location, with its wonderful view of Kassel’s Südstadt district.
After the ceremony you can propose the wedding toast with your guests at a champagne reception in the Foyer or the café-restaurant FALADA. If you wish, you can also book a tour of the exhibition.
The GRIMMWELT also offers an exclusive backdrop for your precious wedding photos, such as the roof garden with spectacular views over the rooftops of Kassel, or the picturesque greenery of the Weinbergpark.
At present, a sit-down reception can be held in the FALADA café-restaurant; we hope will be able to offer stand-up receptions at bistro tables in the Foyer again very soon.
A list of possible dates on which civil marriages can be booked in the GRIMMWELT is published in advance by the City of Kassel Registry Office.
You can check the availability of dates and make a reservation via the Wedding Calendar in the City of Kassel Service Portal (German language only). The dates displayed can be booked a maximum of 12 months in advance.

The wedding package including champagne reception for up to 15 people costs 280 €. A surcharge of 5 € is added for each additional person.
Depending on the chosen arrangement with the café-restaurant FALADA, there will be additional costs e.g., for finger food, canapes or other supplementary services, or if you book an exhibition visit or guided tour.
The official marriage fees are not included in the price.
